Transitioning from deprecated metric billing plans to our current, preset limit plans.
In 2024, we decided to deprecate our metric billing plans due to a lot of confusion that was occurring, but at that time we chose to allow current clients to keep their metric plans if they chose to. However, due to continued issues and confusion with allowances, limits and billing, we are choosing to streamline our plans and discontinue the deprecated metric plans over the next few days.
Therefore all clients with a shared or reseller hosting plan noted as "deprecated" will be moved to one of our current, preset limit hosting plans (Startup/Standard/Business). Note: If your hosting plan does not start with "deprecated", then you are using a current plan and this does not affect you.
The updated plan you will be assigned will depend on your current usage.
For example:
Going forward this will alleviate a lot of confusion and allow our clients to easily see and know their account limits and pricing.
Q: Will I keep my promotional code?
A: Yes! If you used a promotional code, it will still apply.
Q: Will my pricing increase?
A: In most cases, the amount will decrease, but this will depend on your current usage. Our deprecated metric plans included a base amount of 50 GB + $0.35/per GB over 50 GB, but many clients are using well over the 50 GB, but were only being billed for the base amount of 50 GB. Therefore, if your current usage is higher than your deprecated plan allowance, you will be placed in an appropriate plan at a higher cost.
Q: I was reassigned a smaller plan than I want, can that be changed to a higher plan?
A: Yes! If we reassign a plan that you feel is too small for your needs, we can easily change it for you.
